Detox at Home my story
I've tried cleansing and detox at home programs with some small degree of success. The one that worked best for me is a gentle 28 day cleanse. It requires two meal replacements daily (very high nutritional replacements, I might add) with one "regular" meal, for 5 days. That is followed by 2 days on a liquid cleanse. The cycle is repeated 4 times. Surprisingly, the cost of the detox at home program is neutral The two meal replacements cost approximately the same as a meal you would have prepared at home, and considerably less than a restaurant meal. There are several types of meal replacements and snacks, as well as a wealth of nutritional supplements to ensure that your cleansing is fully supported with nutritional flooding. You are likely aware that is the method I think is optimum.
The detox at home program
- Here's what I did for the five day "pre-cleanse" days:
- for breakfast, I had a vanilla (or chocolate) shake made with ice-cold water. This proved to be very filling, since the resulting shake is very rich and satisfying on the palate. Sometimes, for variety, I added in some fruit, blended together. Even more nutrition and more satisfying flavour and texture and "feel" in the mouth.
A big plus; NO chalky after taste. - for lunch, I made the soup (tomato or chicken noodle) which had the same extremely high nutritional values, and the rich taste.
- for supper, I made a 650 calorie "normal" meal.
- 3 times a day (before meals, actually) I took the liquid mineral supplement and the specialized male supplement pills
- Once in a while, especially if I was out and about at meal times, I used one of the meal replacement bars. These are not fat and sugar loaded at all (just read the labels for store-bought replacement bars), and were tasty, chewable, and had a texture quite different from the doughy nutritional bars I has tried previously
- Here's what I did for the two day "cleanse and detox" days:
- every 3 hours I had the cleanse liquid diluted with water (about 1 litre, total). I did this four times during the day.
- if I felt hunger pangs, I chewed some very large nutritional supplements which, I think, had some filler in them that made me feel full
- once in a while (maybe twice over the 28 days) I had an apple or an orange during the 2 fast days
- 3 times a day I took the liquid mineral supplement and the specialized male supplement pills
I lost 10 pounds over the 28 day session, and it really showed in how my beer belly shrunk! I was ecstatic at how easy it was. And how well it worked. And how it didn't break the bank to pay for it. And it tasted good. And I felt better. And I was content that my nutritional needs were being met, superlatively. HOWEVER...I was unable to follow through. Once the 28 day cycle was done, it was prudent to take a month off, and then re-do the cleanse and detox. But I never got back to doing any further sessions... at least not with enough frequency to have any decent results. "Why not," you ask?
The overwhelming limitation to the detox at home program
There is a terrible concept called "context".Context is where you live your life, and where your bad habits are seemingly normal. Context is where your shadows lurk, and sabotage you. Context is where you are not emotionally supported, not nurtured, not secure... not safe.
So, it's not the fault of the detox at home program... it's buried issues you need to address.
As I became aware, I realized that my girth was a result of dark factors far beyond too many calories in... and too few out.To my disgust, I once heard a rather pompous (and most uninformed) MD state, "Losing weight is simple! One must ensure that the calories expended are greater than the calories ingested." That is not simple, that is SIMPLISTIC. Grossly overweight (or underweight for that matter) people have historical emotional barriers to being slim, trim, and healthy. Until the emotional drivers (these lurking shadows) are addressed, the eating disorder ain't going to go away. The at-home cleanse just does not address core issues for most people. IF you are a person that believes an at-home cleanse and detox would work for you, then I really recommend the program I tried. I still use the nutritionals (liquid minerals and specialized male supplements) since I think they are as good as you can get. I have not identified the program I used for two reasons: - the company doesn't want any except company websites to use their name
- I try to keep advertising off pages where I recommend a single product... this page for instance... I'd rather just tell you my experience.
But I would be most happy to share more information with you via emails. Sign up for
I still recommend this as the optimum detox at home program. Just Be Aware of Potential Limitations
