Healing the chakras...

Chakras are centers of energy, located on the midline of the body. There are seven of them, and they govern our physical, mental/emotional and spiritual energies. The exact names, the exact number and the exact bodily location of the chakras varies between "gurus". I've taken a pretty traditional approach to all these aspects.

Mind you, I'm always open to be corrected...

    The three chakras located on the lower part of the body are considered instinctual.

  1. 1st Chakra: ROOT Chakra Muladhara
  2. 2nd Chakra: SACRAL Chakra Swadhisthana
  3. 3d ChakraSOLAR PLEXUS Chakra Manipura
    Known, also as NAVEL Chakra

    4. The mid-level chakra is the transition between the upper and lower.

  4. 4th Chakra HEART Chakra Anahata

    5. The upper three chakras are considered the intellectual centers.

  5. 5th Chakra THROAT Chakra Visshuda
  6. 6th Chakra THIRD EYE Chakra Ajna
  7. 7th Chakra CROWN Chakra Sahasrara

Ideally, our instincts would work together with our feelings and thinking. However, this is usually not the case.

Some chakras have chakra blockages... are not open enough (being under-active), and to compensate, other chakras are over-active. Both under-active and over-active are contributors to a toxic energy mind.

Healing the chakras... some ideas

I have used two methods for healing the chakras...

  • using an energy-based modality
  • using chanting

On the pages for each chakra (links below) I have put together free "reports" that give you some details on the energy-based method.

I think you'll enjoy the process.

  1. 1st Chakra: ROOT CHAKRA Muladhara

    • Location: between the genitals and the anus
    • Focus: grounding, family of origin, trust
    • Toxic Blocked Chakra Symptoms: fearful, nervous, unwelcome
    • Toxic Over-Active Symptoms: materialistic, greedy, obsessed by security, resist change

    • Location: above the buttocks, in the middle of the lower back
    • Focus: feelings, sexuality, intimacy
    • Toxic Blocked Chakra Symptoms: stiff, unemotional, poker-faced
    • Toxic Over-Active Symptoms: overly emotional, overly sexual

  3. 3d Chakra: SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA Manipura

    • Location: the navel area
    • Focus: asserting yourself, control, self-esteem
    • Toxic Blocked Chakra Symptoms: passive, indecisive, timid

  4. 4th Chakra: HEART CHAKRA Anahata

    • Location: center of chest, just below the throat notch
    • Focus: love, kindness, affection, compassion, harmonious relationships
    • Toxic Blocked Chakra Symptoms: cold, distant
    • Toxic Over-Active Symptoms: selfish love, suffocating love

    • Location: middle of forehead, above eyebrows
    • Focus: insight, visualization, intuition, fantasizing
    • Toxic Blocked Chakra Symptoms: poor thinker, rely on authorities, rigid thinker, easily confused, rely on beliefs
    • Toxic Over-Active Symptoms: live a fantsy life, hallucinate

    • Focus: wisdom, spirituality, aware of self, aware of world, non-predjudiced

    • Toxic Over-Active Symptoms: overly intellectual, addicted to spirituality, ignore body
