Ultimately, toxic energy spirit issues cause the most "grief" in the world

The majority of religions deny their members access to spirituality
Spirituality is the journey taken by a human seeking connection with a higher entity/purpose
One of my spiritual heroes is
Bishop John Spong,
who has written a series of books that show how christianity is falsely sustained by not-to-be-questioned myths... myths which are proclaimed as "the word of god... as written in the infallible bible".
This is directly contrary to the research and findings of serious bible scholars over the last 2 centuries!
Spong points out that this christian mythology is completely antithetical to the biblical scholarship, the scientific process, social constructs, philosophical enquiry, and observational data. And this is increasingly obvious to "conscious" people, who then, have opted out of myth-based religion... and are wandering, bereft of spiritual connection, meaning and comfort.
I suspect that most other organized religions have the same toxic spirit shortcomings... with the same abandonment by thinking people.
Here's how I'd summarize all this:
Toxic spirit results from membership in toxic faith churches and
Toxic spirit also results from people who have abandoned myth-based religions, and have not found an alternative
So what's a wandering soul to do?
