| Coming to grips with the meaning of "yoga" is difficult... is yoga- a philosophy of life
- a way of meditating
- a series of poses
- a way to integrate outer life experiences with the inner self
- a means to get to know yourself
- a way to experience the union of mind, body and spirit
- a cult
- an exercise program
- a healing modality
- a fountain of youth
All of the above seems to reflect current thinking! Truthfully, I believe yoga can be many things to different people, depending on one's readiness. So, I don't belittle any approach to yoga, no matter how commercial, nor how (seemingly) trivial. I experienced yoga, thirty plus years ago, as a series of poses that stretched me (please smile here!)... endurance, strength, flexibility... the physical aspect of yoga. Over the last 4 years, I have experienced the philosophical, meditational, and self-knowledge aspects of the healing side of yoga. 35 years ago, I didn't know that I needed more than a physical program... I was sort of stunned that long ago. So what are you ready for? - A great exercise program?
- A means to self-knowledge?
- A way to meditate?
- A way to heal?
- A way to integrate all aspects of your life?
There's a yoga for you. I urge you not to see yoga as that which a certain person teaches... keep your mind and heart open for more... as you require... as you become more open to what could be... I use yoga healing energy in my toxic energy healing therapy practise. I find it especially useful as part of
